Our company was founded in 1958 by Mr. Hugh L. Campbell. 'Mr. Hugh' was a surveyor in the United States Navy, a veteran of World War II and was at Pearl Harbor on that infamous day, December 7, 1941. On that fateful Sunday morning, he was on his way to a ball game when he heard the Japanese planes. He and his crew were credited with shooting down the first plane that day. Upon retirement from the Navy, Mr. Hugh started Campbell Surveying & Mapping, Inc. which he operated until his son, K.C. took over operation in 1981. K.C. holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Southern Technical Institute (now Southern Polytech Institute), a unit of the University System of Georgia.
